What is the Gemini watermark?

When you create an image or video in the Gemini app, Google adds a small visible watermark: a white, four-pointed sparkle in the bottom-right corner of images, and a similar mark on videos made with Veo. It's partly see-through, so the picture behind it still shows.

Google also adds an invisible watermark called SynthID, which marks the content as AI-generated. The visible logo and SynthID are separate: this guide and our tool deal with the visible one only.
